What’s Happening?
Join the Special Learning Family (Ever Learning’s parent company) as we embrace the social importance of Autism Advancement and not just awareness. April 2nd of every year is considered “Light it Up Blue” for Autism Awareness Month. As this movement has continued to grow over the past decade, caregivers and persons living with Autism Spectrum Disorder have begun to speak-out against the Awareness Movement and advocate of Acceptance in the mainstream community. It is up to educators, clinicians, behavior analysts, behavior techs, SLPs, Psychologists and the entire Global Autism Ecosystem to stand with persons living with ASD and “Spring” for Autism Advancement. Not only do we all support persons with ASD, but we also need to teach the world about acceptance and inclusion of neurodiversity. How will you Spring for Autism Advancement? What’s Cooking in the Global Autism Ecosystem?
As mentioned in last month’s edition, the field of Behavior Analysis is changing as the rates of Autism diagnosis continue to rise. Through our professional development, we have uncovered the triumphs and limitation of supporting individuals with special needs. Special Learning, Inc. and other Subject Matter Experts presented on the topic of BCBA® Supervision to an ABA Conference. We uncovered best practices and methods of providing high-quality supervision using the Minimal Viable Clinician™ (MVC™) Model at the 3rd Annual Behavior Analyst Leadership Council (BALC) Conference on March 29, 2019 in New Haven, Connecticut. It was such a successful presentation. As part of our contribution to Spring for Autism Advancement, we would love to share the full presentation download for free.
